Offices up for auction

The Watch Oak at Chain Lane, with eight offices, all occupied, is among 20 lots in Sussex and Surrey being sold by Clive Emson, the regional land and property auctioneers.

Also for sale, with a freehold guide of £165-175,000, is Number 3 Coast Guard Cottages, Jurys Gap, Rye, dating back to 1875.

Starting at 11am, the auction takes place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton, on Tuesday July 24.

To date this year the firm’s average sales rate in the region has been 84 per cent, above the national average and what founder Clive Emson described as a “true achievement in a reportedly difficult market”.
