Christmas at Chestnut Tree
At this special time of year many families choose to be in their own homes, not knowing if this will be the last Christmas that they will all be together. But, just because it is Christmas, the children don’t stop being ill and many still require round-the-clock nursing care.
This means that our community nurses are busy providing a 24-hour-a-day service for families who need that extra bit of help at Christmas. Families often find it hard to do the things we take for granted, so a visit from one of our community nurses might mean the opportunity to get the last few bits of Christmas shopping done, or taking a sibling to see Santa. Our team will also be caring for children who are sadly at the end of their life this Christmas.
