Help is at hand

How I sympathise with the letters regarding understanding and use of mobile phones, computers, etc.

However, help is at hand.

My wife bought me a Windows 8 laptop for Christmas which apparently is the latest in computer software technology.

Even with a book from the library it nearly ended up out of the window.

Then, a friend’s son heard my woes and offered to come round and ‘have a look’.

Magic, he did all the things the laptop required and on a subsequent visit explained all the information that I needed without patronising me in order to operate the machine for my own personal use(this letter is via email by my own one index finger.

In response to E Barber re the entrepreneur gap in the market.

Good news.

My friend’s son is looking to offer these services and would be only too pleased to receive any requests (initially via the Observer).
