Charity wartime play

I WONDER, does anyone remember a sell-out play for charity, staged at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, in 1940 or thereabouts and called: ' '˜Twas all so unexpected.'

The cast consisted of 12 young ladies and two boys, one of them me, and we were put through our roles by actors from London.

I am now 86, so I will be watching the Bexhill Observer in the hope of a reply. Thank you.
