Children receive dictionary donation

Member of the Horsham Rotary Club, Gordon McConnell, visited Heron Way Primary School to donate a large number of dictionaries on Friday, June 28.

Headteacher, Mr James Crump, said: “The school is delighted to receive these dictionaries from the Horsham Rotary Club.

“With the current digital age and the abundance of online resources it is easy to forget the importance of books and in particular dictionaries.

“The skills that the children use to locate and select words are essential and used throughout life. With shrinking budgets this kind offer is a luxury and one we would like to thank the Horsham Rotary Club very much for.”
