The Castle will also play host to a ‘History in Action’ event this Saturday 29 - Monday 31 August. The three day event promises a rip-roaring ride through the history of Sussex. Starting during the time of Roman Gladiators, when there was a Roman Villa at Arundel, and travelling through the Norman, Medieval and Victorian periods, the event aims to show visitors how Sussex developed into the county it is today.
