Wet and windy
IN reply to Diana Adams (Gazette letters, April 7), I think I am the only person to ever sit on the longest bench.
She is right about the shelters – they are like wind tunnels. Who wants to freeze and get soaking wet in them?
I do disagree about the bikes, though. Looking out for them, as well as the dog mess, would be a nightmare. I have witnessed several children hurting themselves by slipping off the bench, but then again, they should not be walking on it in the first place.
All that aside, I am born and bred in L.A. and I love it. It is brilliant walking along the common and the beach is great.
