Loos' loss a shame

I WAS dismayed to read of the closure of the public toilets at Marine Parade Gardens.

If there is insufficient funding to keep the toilets open, why not make them pay for themselves by charging for their use?

There is already a charge of 20p to use the alternative facilities at West Park, so why not make a charge for those in Marine Parade Gardens as well?

I also question whether the facilities in West Park are sufficient to accommodate everyone using the gardens, the putting green, the park, the children’s play area and the cafe?

We are encouraged to walk along the seafront with its various exercise suggestions, but it is a long mile to walk from West Park to the nearest toilet facilities on Bognor seafront opposite the pier.

Alternatively, forget the free car parking and keep the toilets!
