The unusual two-wheeled addition to the sale is all for a very special cause.
In October 2015, 11-year old Jacob Breckon was taken seriously ill whilst playing football for his local Woking District team.

Facing a very uncertain future, Jacob requires urgent specialist medical treatment that is only available in the USA.
Funds raised from the sale of the scooter will help meet the cost of taking Jacob to the USA and his subsequent treatment.
Upon hearing of Jacob’s plight, neighbouring rockstar, ‘The Modfather’ Paul Weller, provided support to the family, and has autographed the scooter to increase the bidding.

Hide AdAlthough best remembered as a 1960s style icon favoured by the fashion conscious ‘Mods’, the Vespa motor scooter was initially intended as basic transport for the non-enthusiast masses.
Manufactured by the Italian industrial giant Piaggio, the Vespa gained instant acceptance in the immediate post-war years, its convenience as well as its fashionable design appealing to those who regarded the more powerful motorcycles with suspicion.
Countless different versions have come and gone since, yet the Vespa of today remains recognisably related to the first one made 70 years ago.
James Stensel, Bonhams Head of Motorcycles, said: “The Vespa scooter is a design classic, synonymous with ‘Mod’ culture, and the mobilisation of post-war Italy.
