Peacehaven Mayor's funds are presented to Community Hub

Outgoing Mayor of Peacehaven, Lucy Jo Symonds, presented the Founder of Havens Community Hub, Paula Woolven, a cheque for £1,250 from the fundraising proceeds of events held during her year in office 2022-23.

Lucy Jo commended the great work being done by the volunteers and staff at the Havens Community Hub, which creates projects to meet unmet community need.

Two of the projects have since become standalone charities - Havens Community Cars and the Havens Happy Clubs, with the Havens Food Cooperative remaining part of the main Hub.

The new Mayor for Peacehaven for 2023-24 is Councillor David Seabrook.
