Weald and Downland Living Museum, Singleton: many of the old buildings are said to have ghosts. Shadowy figures have been seen hanging around a medieval shop and a woman in a long dress has been spotted walking from house to house.

Bramber Castle: after William de Braose, the 4th Lord of Bramber, upset King John I, his children were imprisoned and died. It is said they are still seen at Bramber Castle.

The George, Crawley: the ghost of Mark Hurston, a former night watchman who died after drinking poisoned wine, is said to haunt the hotel.

Chanctonbury Ring: ghost hunters camped at the site in 1974 and a member of the group who walked through the centre of the ring was lifted several feet off the ground by an unseen force, it's claimed.
