Mid Sussex residents were out and about last weekend to mark the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla (Saturday, May 6).

Burgess Hill Bowls Club joined in the celebrations on Bank Holiday Monday (May 8) by holding a party at the clubhouse on Westhill Drive.

A spokesperson said: “To start the celebrations we had an 18 ends bowls match, which was played in good spirit. Then following the match we had our celebration tea.”
