Following its 50th anniversary celebrations last year, the society donated the funds raised by street collections to Burgess Hill Shed, Sussex Community Day Centre, Friends of Woodlands Meed, and Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.

Each of the four charities received £600.

The society welcomed representatives of each charity to its annual dinner, held on February 8, to be officially acknowledged as recipients of the donations.
