Demand for new homes in Hassocks prompts summer 2020 housing launch

Housebuilder Bellway, which has started work to build 165 new homes at Kingsland Gate, off London Road, held a launch event at The Friars Oak pub after more than 500 people signed up online to receive updates about the development.

Located on land which was formerly part of Hassocks Golf Club, Kingsland Gate will comprise 165 two, three and four bedroom homes.

The houses have been created for Bellway's new artisan collection, which they say are 'a range of best-in-class house types which are the result of two years of development and decades of customer input'.

An on-site launch is planned for this summer, with the first residents due to move into their new homes soon after.

Daniel Williamson, head of sales for Bellway South London, said: “To have such a high interest from customers in our first artisan collection development is really great to see.

“We saw a lot of interest from local buyers, with more than 100 people attending the launch event. Bellway is providing new homes for local people to help meet the current demand in the area.
