Sussex restaurant added to the Michelin Guide 2023

The Pass in The South Lodge Hotel was awarded one star thanks to head chef Ben Wilkinson.

The intimate restaurant, which offers a unique dining experience for up to 28 diners within the historic walls of South Lodge, has had Ben at the helm since July 2022, following his successful stint at The Cottage in the Wood in the Lake District.

Head Chef Ben Wilkinson joined The Pass in August 2022, bringing Michelin star success from his former head chef position at The Cottage in the Wood in the Lake District.

Wilkinson’s tasting menu brings the very best of seasonal and British produce from Sussex and beyond to diners’ plates. Signature dishes include Celeriac, fillet, smoked emulsion, beef cheek, hen of the woods and Newhaven day boat turbot, asparagus, oyster, Ridgeview sparkling, king oyster mushroom.
