Jumble Sale: Don't forget this event being held on Saturday March 5 from 1pm to 3pm at Pett Village Hall. There will be a mixture of items on sale as well as a raffle, cake stall and refreshments. The money raised will go to the Friends of Pett Churches for maintenance and refurbishment of the church in Pett and items can be brought to the Village hall from 9:30am on the day but no furniture or electrical goods, please.

Race Night: The tickets for this event, also on Saturday March 5 at Pett Village Hall, have now all sold out, which is great news for Village Hall funds!

Church Services: Church Services on Sunday March 6 – Mothering Sunday – Morning Worship shared with the Methodists, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am.

Village Hall Management Committee: This committee will meet on Monday March 7 at 7pm at Pett Village Hall. The meeting is open to the public so please come along and give your ideas and views on the hall.

Village Voices: The Village Choir has restarted with a new name. Meeting at Pett Methodist Church on Monday evenings at 7:30pm, the aim is to have fun whilst singing various types of songs from Beatles songs to musical numbers and folk songs. The new programme includes All My Loving, Streets of London, You’ve got a Friend and some comedy songs among others.

The Choir plans to provide concerts and performances in aid of different charities including St Michael’s Hospice. For further information please contact Wendy Hatch on [email protected].

Pett Older People’s Project: POPP on Tuesday March 8 will feature Keith Osbourne with Music for Health. The session runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm and will include a two-course lunch for just £5.

Mobile Library: The next visit will be on Tuesday March 8 when it will stop outside Pett Church from 12:05pm until 12:35pm.

Pett Gardening Club: Also on Tuesday March 8 Pett Gardening Club will be holding a meeting in Pett Village Hall. There will be a talk from Susan Scrivens who will tell the story of a unique new plant, Saltwood Summer, the Orchid Foxglove, and span 11 years of highs and lows, culminating in its launch at Chelsea.

The meeting starts at 7:30pm and members can renew their annual membership for £6. Visitors are always welcome at £3 per meeting.

Craft Fair: Pett Village Hall will host a Craft Fair on Saturday March 19 from 10am to 3pm. All proceeds will go to the Village Hall fund and for more information, please contact Jeanette Barden, details in Pett Parish News.
