Police seize prom bikes

THREE mini-motorcycles were seized by police after riders came 'perilously close' to knocking down elderly people walking along Seaford promenade.

Calls came in from several members of the public reporting that the bikes were being ridden dangerously.

Sgt David Kemp, of Seaford Police, said: 'The riders came perilously close to running down several elderly people enjoying a stroll on the promenade.

'We have taken possession of these machines and I am at the moment investigating a number of criminal offences.'
