RAIL ALERT: Derailed train blocking lines between Horsham and Dorking

Southern Rail said it was alerted to the problem earlier this morning.

A spokesman for the rail service provider said a train which was leaving a depot between the two stations had come off the tracks, blocking both northbound and southbound lines. It did not contain any passengers.

Trains are subject to delays, cancellations and alterations.

Disruption is expected to last until 12pm, the spokesman added.
