RESTAURANT GETS SET

AN Indian restaurant with a contemporary feel is due to open in Uckfield in the next few weeks.

Pepper Dining is moving into the former Crannages premises at the top of the High Street and the owners Nasir Ali and Abbas Uddin are planning three menus, one for a takeaway, one for lunchtime and one for leisurely evening dining.

Mr Ali said they were very excited about the opening of the restaurant and looking forward to seeing the transformation of the interior of the building. 'We want people to be able to experience the atmosphere of a nice London restaurant in Uckfield.'

The lunchtime menu would be all about speedy service but for the evening Mr Ali said they were aiming for Gordon Ramsay-style cuisine which would take longer to prepare.

r Ali and Mr Uddin both live in London but are considering a move to Uckfield in the future. The restaurant business is a new venture for them but they will be employing experienced chefs.
