Sedlescombe and District Flower Club put on a very stylish afternoon tea for their event last Saturday when the village hall was transformed for Putting On The Ritz. Most of the 60 patrons dressed for the occasion and whilst enjoying, finely cut sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam not to mention homemade cakes, were entertained by Mr Davidson, a local village resident playing music from the period. As you would expect beautiful floral arrangements set the scene, two dapper maitre‘d’s were in attendance along with thirties style nippy waitresses serving. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the day.

If you would like to come and visit the club in its normal guise then you are welcome to visit the next meeting which will be a social one on Wednesday June 12 at 7.30pm at the village hall , further details on this next week.
