Shakespeare and cellars

Professional touring group Rain Or Shine will be performing A Comedy of Errors.

The play starts at 7pm but the garden will be open for picnics from 6pm.

The audience bring their own seats and refreshments.

Tickets are £13.50 for adults and £6 for under-16s, and are available on the gate.

The performance will take place in St Thomas’s Church in the event of bad weather.

Saturday 17 offers another chance to explore the medieval cellars of Winchelsea.

A tour takes place at 2pm. leaving from Castle Street.

The cost is £5, which includes a guide.

Those taking part should wear sensible footwear as the entrances to some of the cellars are steep.

Proceeds from the tour go to proceeds go to the Winchelsea Archaeological Society.
