Cllr Keith Glazier, the County Council’s Lead Member for Children’s and Adults’ Services, said: “These ceremonies are mainly about providing these young people with official recognition for their efforts and their achievements. There really is a wealth of talent in our county and it’s right that we should encourage and celebrate it.

“They also give us the chance to recognise the teachers and leaders who make such a huge contribution to sport in our county by encouraging, motivating and training the young people.”
