Energy therapist and ‘self-healer’, Jackie Mannell plans to release her book in March with a ‘powerful message’ for it’s readers.

Heart, Broken: My journey to Self-Healing, is an ‘inspirational story’ about her childhood, the journey she faced into motherhood and her ‘self-healed’ heart condition.

The mother-of-two from St Leonards describes the recovery as a ‘fantastic result,’ and wants her story to ‘empower others and change lives’.

When her cranial osteopath warned her she could be diagnosed with a potentially serious heart condition, Jackie went to the doctor.

There she was told she would have to take medication for life and had the threat of impending surgery.

Having made it to her 40s without medication, Jackie had no intention of starting and decided to begin a ‘journey of self-healing’.

“We have the power within ourselves to change,” she said.

She claimed ‘nutrition, meditation, visualisation and gentle exercise’, kept her in health over the years.

Astonishingly, three months into her ‘self-healing journey,’ she was declared ‘fit and healthy’ by her doctor.

However, Jackie was convinced her condition was more than just ill health.

“I had to look at the emotion behind the heart, changing my diet and how I lived,” she explained.

Jackie had a ‘complicated’ childhood and believes being bullied during her time at an all-girls school contributed to her condition.

“Nobody spoke to me, no one even looked at me”, she said.

“I hated school because of it.”

Her mother, who was diagnosed with diabetes aged 21, suffered with dementia before dying aged 50.

“I had to leave my job and become her full-time carer and she died in my arms, “ she explained.

Jackie strongly feels these experiences were related to her illness and says all the ‘pain’ that came from her childhood, ‘manifested’ into her heart condition.

Despite her traumatic experiences , she ‘never gave up,’ and strongly believes you can ‘control your destiny’.

Jackie is now an EFT master practitioner, mental health consultant and continues to work as an energy therapist.

She thinks you should ‘tackle your emotions head-on’ to be able to truly heal yourself and feels her book is going to ‘inspire people.’

Jackie believes ‘happier people, makes a happier world’.

Heart, Broken: My Journey to Self-Healing is available online, on Amazon and ‘all good book shops’ from March 6, 2016.
