Teamwork the key for East Preston quiz champions

MINI-MASTERMINDS from East Preston Junior School have won through to the semi-final of a national quiz competition.

Jennifer Black, 11, Leo Nind, nine, Sebastian Tejeiro-Mason and Stella Blows, both eight, came first in the Worthing area heat of the National Inter-School Quiz Club Championship.

Working well as a team and taking a very strategic approach, they scored an impressive 1,885 points, 190 more than their closest rivals.

“It was great to see children from year-three to year-six working so well together. Jennifer (year-six) has represented the school each year since year-three and was delighted to win in her final year at the school,” said school spokeswoman Sue Tabor.

In the semi-final, East Preston will be competing against teams from Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.
