Thanks to Poppy Appeal helpers
Poppy collectors who took part in this year's Little Common Royal British Legion appeal were thanked at a ceremony on Monday evening.
Organiser Yvonne Leigh said: "It was a thank you to all our poppy collectors that have been helping during the appeal - there were about 40 in all. Then we gave out something like 15 awards for long service, ranging from 10 years up to 35 years - all the poppy collectors who have been doing it for years."
Longest service award winners included Joy Mockett, Sheila Portsmouth and Mrs B.Storkey, while the others received certificates or badges and brooches for helping out for 10, 15, or 20 years.
The awards were handed out by Helen Corrigan, the Poppy organiser from county office at Haywards Heath.
Yvonne added: "It was a good evening, and we had wine and some nibbles too."
