Dismasted boat rescued off Selsey
A yacht with a broken mast was helped by the RNLI and a warship after it was stranded near Selsey yesterday afternoon.
The damaged boat was in no shape to make it back to shore off Selsey Bill, but help arrived in the form of HMS Westminster and Selsey RNLI volunteers.
Selsey RNLI’s Shannon lifeboat crew had been spending the sunny morning training when the distress call came in and turned about to help.
