Train operator publishes Responsibility Report

TRAIN Operator Southern Rail has published its 2010 Corporate Responsibility Report.

Southern say the emphasis of the report is very much on working for the community, safety, the environment, their passengers and employees.

In the report, Southern explains its aim to make a positive difference in the way it works and the services it offers.

1.15million invested in employee training.

Over 300 stakeholder meetings took place.

"These things are all at the heart of everything we do at Southern and I'm sure people will enjoy reading about our work in these areas.

"I believe our passengers want a safe and punctual railway and to travel in relative comfort, but they also want us to be responsible employers and neighbours.

"I believe our report shows this but although we have achieved a great deal, there are still areas where we know we need to improve."
