Trio of robbers attack teenager

A teenager was punched in the head and had his money stolen on his way to the shops.

The 19-year-old was on his way to Githa Road in the Old Town at around 8.45am last Wednesday (August 25).

The attack happened at Harold Road in an alleyway near the fishing ponds.

Police said he was hit on the back of the head by one of a trio of men.

Another member of the gang who was in his 20s, white and wearing a grey hooded top punched the victim in the head for a second time.

He was then subjected to further blows to the head and body after falling to the ground.

The trio took 40 from the victim's wallet, who was left with bruising to his face and body.
