SAWMILL SAUSAGE SIZZLE: The Balcombe Sawmill is opening the gates for villagers to have a look between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm on Saturday 13 October. This is part of the Grown in Britain week, a celebration of all things ‘woody.’ You will be able to enjoy a banger in a bun, see the Mebor sawmill in action etc and get free advice on trees and timber.
SCOUTS JUMBLE SALE: on Saturday 13 October from 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm in the Victory Hall. Have a sort out now! All jumble donations welcome in the morning but no electrical items please.

CATHERINE’S HOSPICE SUSSEX LANDMARKS WALK:Taking you through Sussex fields and past historic landmarks including; the Balcombe Viaduct, Ardingly Reservoir and Wakehurst Place Seedbank, this cross country hike will allow you to enjoy the changing colours of Autumn whilst raising funds for your local hospice. The full hike is 13 miles, with 9 and 3 mile routes also available making this a family friendly event – even suitable for the dog! St Catherine’s: is hoping to raise £20,000 from Sussex Landmarks by asking walkers for a donation or to raise sponsorship. This will allow us to offer expert care to even more local terminally ill people in the future.
