The opening weekend sees many of the exhibits around the site dusting off the cobwebs and we hope you will come and see the Museum prepare for the new season.

We’ve found some unusual objects around the site: can you identify them? Enjoy your first ride on the train and bus this year!

We are then open all week for half term. You can bring your under fives to Toddler Tuesday: a morning of themed activities when all accompanying adults get a free hot drink from the Limeburners Restaurant, and bring children of all ages to our activity day on Wednesday.

The final day of half term (Sunday February 21) sees Teacher and Group Travel Organiser Day, when those looking to bring groups to visit can come in completely free.

Just phone the office in advance and let us know which school or group you are representing.

After half term we open again on Wednesday March 2 for the main season when we open Wednesday to Sunday every week until October 30, plus Bank Holidays and seven days a week in Sussex school holidays.

Amberley Museum is a 36 acre site set in the South Downs National Park dedicated to industrial heritage, with communications and electricity exhibition halls, working printshop, stationary engines, lime kilns and more.

Visitors can take free rides on the narrow gauge railway or historic bus.

The Museum is home to a variety of traditional craftspeople, such as the wheelwrights and potters, with a café, gift shop and nature trails.
