Want to make a mosaic?

You're in luck - a series of workshops are being held at the Mosaic Gallery in Endwell Road for anyone who wants to learn the basics.

The workshops will last six hours, with a choice of either three two-hour evening sessions or a six hour one-day course with refreshment breaks. All courses will include coffee and biscuits, and also lunch during the one-day session.

The aim is to teach basic nibbling and cutting techniques, gluing and grouting together with basic mosaic design skills.

Participants will create two items over the six hours, a coaster and one item chosen from a selection of blanks.

The atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly in which a small number of participants - no more than six - can feel comfortable enough to chat and share ideas, providing an enjoyable as well as educational experience.

The one day course will take place on Saturday June 10 from 10-5pm.

The cost is 65 for the day, including lunch.

The set of evening courses are on Tuesday June 5, 12, and 19, from 7-9pm, and will cost 60 for the three evenings.
