‘Wear Your Worst Woolly’ at Carfax Pancake Races
Come to town with your brightest, fluffiest or most garish jumper and on the day you can add to it with free arts and crafts that will be in a marquee in the Carfax courtesy of Shopfest Craft Den. Make woolly bobbles to give your jumper an extra something or add contrasting coloured wool to really stand out.
The activities will be open to all from 10am so bring the children down to enjoy some crafts whilst watching the races. With staff and volunteers on hand to help jazz up your jumper its fun for the kids and best of all, completely free.

Hide AdIn addition there will be Face Painting and freshly made Crepes for sale.
Lead by children’s entertainer Dave Benson Philips, judging will take place in the Carfax after the Pancake Races at about 3pm, with prizes for the winners.
There are 3 categories for children – Age 5-6, 7-8 and 9-11, plus a category for worst adult creation.
Age UK Horsham District have been running their Spread The Warmth campaign throughout winter in an attempt to raise awareness and funds to support the vulnerable older people of Horsham district during winter and this competition has been arranged in partnership with Horsham rotary and HDC to bring the campaign to a close for another year.

Bring the kids down on the 18th for a wacky, woolly day and they could win a prize for taking part.
If the weather has been poor, please check the Rotary website www.horshamrotary.org.uk in the morning to check that the event is still on as the racing is dependent on suitable underfoot conditions.
