Weather causes Worthing Pier closure

Worthing Pier was closed at lunchtime today (Saturday, November 14) because of 50mph winds.

Tim Smalley, Worthing beach inspector, said: "We closed the pier at 1pm to members of the public as a safety precaution because winds were blowing at about 50mph.

"The pier will remain closed until weather conditions improve.
