Web safety for children

Is your child safe on the web?

One way to make sure is to take part in free courses at the Kip McGrath tuition centre in Beeching Road.

The centre is to run a set of mini-workshops over halfterm for parents and their children to teach them how to use the internet in a safe way.

Director Sian Crossland commented: "These are completely free to parents and all you need to sign up is a parent/carer and a child, or two...

"Taught by a specialist teacher, these are designed for both parent and child to attend together to show both the pitfalls and dangers of the Web.

"Ideally children should be aged between 9-16.

"Anyone at all interested should call 01424 214412 to book a free place."
