Westfield Football Club: There is some great news from Westfield Football Club. The Club received the ‘Charter Standard Development Club of the Year’ Award as the Sussex County and South East Regional Winner at the Sussex County FA Awards Evening, which took place last week at the Amex Stadium, Brighton. In addition Westfield’s Tom Saunters was the winner of the Sussex County ‘Young Volunteer of the Year’ award. Congratulations to all involved!

World’s Biggest Coffee Morning: is hosted by The Hub at The New Inn today. Come along between 10am and 12 noon and enjoy delicious cakes with your tea and coffee while supporting a most worthwhile cause.

Westfield Youth Club: has another of its famous Big Quiz Nights tomorrow, Saturday October 1. This is for teams of up to eight people, and you need to be at the Parish Hall at 7pm for the 7.30pm start. Tickets are £5 per person, including food, available by calling 07952 995743 to book.

The Friendship Club: meets on Monday, October 3 at The New Inn from 2-3.30 pm. Members play bingo and whist, with a cup of tea and biscuits during the afternoon. New members are always welcome; contact Jean Hobson on 01424 753095 for more information.

Westfield Horticultural Society: is starting new floral art classes as the previous classes in August proved so popular and were over-subscribed. They will take place in the Parish Hall on alternate Tuesday evenings from October 4. Places are filling fast, so contact Catherine on 01424 552485 if you would like to join.
