Whatlington

Church news: The Whatlington Carol Service was well attended, with 32 people present to sing favourite carols and listen to the Bible readings telling the wonderful Christmas story.
Next Sunday, 20th December, there will not be the usual morning service at the church, however, at 3.30pm we will have the traditional Christmas Pageant. We will be joined by members of Battle Town Band and after a start in the church the Pageant will progress out into the churchyard, where Mary’s ‘Donkey’ will be waiting and, then on towards Leeford Farm, with Carols and readings en-route. The Pageant will conclude with the Nativity tableau enacted in the barn. There will be hot soup served at the conclusion.
Car parking will be available at Whatlington Village Hall, nearby.

Festive Fundraiser: a report on the supper at the hall last week is in the pipeline and I hope to carry it soon.

An advance reminder that on Christmas Eve there will be an early ‘Midnight’ service at Whatlington starting at 10pm, so an ideal time to be able to welcome Christmas and still get home in good time for a nights rest before the big day!
