Witnesses to mass brawl at club wanted

Around 20 young people were involved in a mass brawl outside a Bognor Regis nightclub in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the fight started outside Mud Club, on The Esplanade, when uninvited guests turned up to a private party at the venue.

A number of 999 calls were received from witnesses following the fight at about 12.45am, which resulted in a 16-year-old being arrested on suspicion of affray and a 17-year-old receiving an injury to his eye. Both are local to the town.

Officers immediately attended the scene and were confronted by the large group of youths fighting with each other. It is not believed any weapons were used and the arrest was quickly made.
