The 45F Worthing Squadron Air Training Corps spoke to potential recruits and received donations in South Street Square on Monday May 2, while a climbing wall was provided for family fun.
The group was raising money towards the trip in August, when 20 cadets and six members of staff will fly out to Brisbane to meet with the Royal Australian Air Force Cadets.

Maria Muggridge, commanding officer, said: “We have been doing all kinds of things to raise the money. Someone even decided to climb down the Spinnaker Tower.
“We’re taking our group out there to see how the Australian cadets work, eat and sleep. It is the 75th anniversary for both of us so there will be a big parade and party in Brisbane, which is very exciting.
“I think this will be absolutely amazing. This is a plan I have had in my head since 2014, and it has taken nearly two years to achieve. I hope the cadets will have a great time.”
