Worthing Man (27) charged with murder

A 27 year-old Worthing man has been charged with murder and remanded in custody following an appearance at Worthing Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 30.

Darren William Blackley of St Elmo Road, Worthing, is accused of murdering of David Brown Wilson, aged 50 also of St Elmo Road.

Mr Wilson's body was found in his flat in the early hours of September 27

A postmortem revealed that his death was due to injuries sustained in a serious assault.

No-one else has been charged in connection with the incident.

DI Jeff Riley said: "We are appealing for anyone to come forward who may have seen Mr Wilson, particularly in the area near his flat, in the days proceeding his death. Also anyone who has been a recent visitor to his flat.

"Those people with information, no matter how insignificant it may be, should contact the incident room for Operation Trimmer, on 0845 60 70 999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
