Benn wants four wins from five

LITTLEHAMPTON Cricket Club captain Benn Challen has set his side a tough target as they bid to return immediately to the Sussex League Premier Division.

Challen, whose side are now down to sixth, although just 31 points off second-placed Stirlands with a game in hand, said: "I don't know if we will go up. We've got to win four of our last five games. If we win this week then next week I'll probably be a little more hopeful. We're not going to worry about what all the other teams do, we've just got to try to win our games."

On Saturday, Littlehampton missed out on the chance to defeat Haywards Heath, one of their promotion rivals, at The Sportsfield.

A swashbuckling 114 off only 67 deliveries by Heath's Hayden James paved the way for an early declaration but at just past the midway point of their reply Littlehampton looked favourites.
