13. John Wisden - Brighton
Played 187 first class matches for Kent, Middlesex and Sussex taking 1,109 wickets including 39 10-wicket matches. He is now best known for launching the eponymous Wisden Cricketers' Almanack in 1864, the year after he retired from first-class cricket
14. Steve Ovett - Brighton
Won Gold in the 800m and bronze in the 1500m at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, also won gold at the 1978 European Championships in Prague and the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.
15. Alan Minter - Crawley
The boxer held the undisputed middleweight title in 1980, having previously held the British middleweight title from 1975 to 1976, and the European middleweight title twice between 1977 and 1979
