County honours for St Bedes quartet
Edward Castro (aged 18), Michael Faber (14), Cameron Bax (13) and Stephanie Ketley (13) from St Bede's School were selected to represent Sussex Schools at the divisional competition at Southampton against Dorset, Hampshire and the Channel Islands.
The St Bede's swimmers were in sparkling form in their first competition of the season '“ Faber taking seven seconds off his previous best 400m time.
Times were:-
Castro: 200m IM 2:13.70, 100m fly 1:00.41, 400m free 4:08.43; Faber: 400m free 4:17.45, 100m free 57.47; Bax: 50m free 27.61, 200m IM 2:28.16, 100m fly 1:08.26; Ketley: 100m back 1:10.62.
Bax and Castro have been selected for the divisional team to compete in Manchester in October.
