Crows consolidate top spot

CROWHURST Park have extended their lead to 10 points in Sussex Cricket Division Three (East).

A five wicket win away to Keymer & Hassocks saw them increase their advantage slightly over the chasing pack now headed by Lewes Priory.

K&H amassed a testing 244-6 thanks to third wicket partnership of 117 between Simon McNiff (53) and Michael Johnson (85). Bradley Payne (2-45), Paul Brookes (2-47) and Colin Ayres (2-25) were the wicket-takers.

In reply, all the Park top order chipped in before Payne (55 not out) and Ayres (62 not out) saw them over the line with an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 103.
