In response, Lindfield lost Tom Howard early to some fiery bowling from Mali Richards before Aggio-Brewe departed for 7. At 19-2, Rippon (45) and Geoffrey Lawrence helped rebuild to go to 67, before Lawrence fell for 27. Thom Brown hit 22 as Lindfield tried to muster a response to SJM’s tight bowling, before Mali Richards’ late spell took the wickets of Nick Hopkins (1) and Kevin Chamberlain in consecutive balls. Requiring one wicket to win, family combination James (29no) and Stephen Pearce (4) took Lindfield to within 4 balls of a draw, before an LBW sealed it for St James’s. Richards, Sam Rattle and Edward Blake took three wickets each. Lindfield finished 154ao.

Lindfield now lie fifth in the table with 186 points.
