St Andrew’s under 12s complete fantastic run to win South Area Indoor Cricket title
St Andrew’s Cricket Club (Burgess Hill) Under 12s have completed a fantastic run of 9 matches played, 9 matches won to take the South Area Indoor Cricket League title at the Indoor School, County Cricket Ground, Hove.
The games began in November with the top 4 teams fighting it out in 3 games after the Christmas break. Manager Jason Charlton’s calm, encouraging style definitely passed onto the boys who played with intelligence, determination and style throughout the games.
Played with only 6 a side, the game is very different from outdoor Cricket with many different rules and scoring opportunities. However, the boys rose to the challenge admirably and finally took the title by bowling Brighton & Hove all out much to the delight of their loyal and enthusiastic supporters.
The fantastic team was Tommy O’Donoghue, Angus Hill (Captain), Jared Hall, Tommy Charlton, Jack Brown, Charlie Freeman (Wicket keeper) and Adam Lindo (not pictured).
