The girls faced two tough primary schools in the first round of the tournament, beating both to go through to the semi finals.

These were held at Warden Park where the girls faced Moira House, Bedes and Brighton College, beating all three teams to earn their place in the final, going through in first place with Bede’s in second place.

The final took place on 16th March at Bede’s in Upper Dicker, against Bedes, Oathall and Sir Robert Woodard Academy. Warden Park went into the first match against Sir Robert Woodard fighting, getting them all out for 39, and scoring 117 runs to take the victory. In the second match they once again faced Bedes. Having beaten them in the semi final, it was a predictably close match but Warden Park took the win 78-52.

The final match was against Oathall and once again the girls put on an outstanding performance to take their third victory of the day 106 - 51 and becoming Sussex champions in the process.

They will now progress to represent Sussex in the South East Regional Finals in Surrey. The girls’ batting, fielding and bowling was exceptional and they thoroughly deserve their place in the regional finals.
