Drive in with Texas Scramble

PYECOMBE Golf Club held its annual captains' drive-in on Sunday, when more than 20 teams of six took part in a hotly contested Texas scramble event.

The competition was followed by a buffet lunch, before the traditional teeing off outside the clubhouse by new captains for the coming year.

They were joined by new club president Reg Auchterlonie, who had been elected following the retirement of previous long-standing president Ken Barnard, who will be 80 next year.
