Eagles have strong look

Old and local rivalries will be renewed tonight (Friday) at Arlington Stadium (7.30pm start) as the Eastbourne Eagles face the Arena Essex Hammers in the Elite League B.

The meeting is being staged tonight due to tomorrow evening's Scandinavian Grand Prix round, and as a consequence Nicki Pedersen will be absent furthering his cause on the world stage. It paves the way for the one-night return to Eagles colours of Mark Loram. That will not please Arena Essex fans as for the past two seasons he has been a fixture in their team and is a capable rider around the Arlington raceway.

Edward Kennett returns having missed last week's 47-46 win over Coventry Bees due to his Premier League club Rye House having first call on his services.

Kennett will renew his impressive partnership with David Norris while 16-year-old Lewis Bridger moves back down the order giving the Eagles a far more imposing look all round.
