Esther is side-saddle champion
TEENAGER Esther Rostron is Junior Side-Saddle Champion of the Year.She won four classes and was placed in three others riding her grey pony, Smokey Joe, during the three-day National Side-Saddle Championships at Addington, culminating in winning the junior championship.
It was an outstanding achievement because Esther (15), who is a pupil at The Towers in Upper Beeding, has only been riding side-saddle for 12 months.
She had the lowest score of 6.2 in the Junior Open Equitation Championship.
