9. Leicetser 0-0 Brighton
Take a bow Tariq. An excellent debut from the youngster helped Albion to a point at Champions League chasing Leicester. Lamptey went on to make telling contributions in the closing matches. It may have been even better at the King Power had Maupay netted a first half penalty after Connolly was hauled down.
10. Norwich 0-1 Brighton
Sandwiched in-between hefty defeats to Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City was this high pressure clash at Carrow Road. A clever finish from Leandro Trossard from Aaron Mooy's assist was a huge moment in Brighton's season. Still not mathematically safe but the Albion players knew the significance and celebrated long after the final whistle.
11. Southampton 1-1 Brighton
Albion edged closer to safety when Neal Maupay's 10th of the season was cancelled out by Danny Ings 20th to claim a hard earned point. The game will be remembered for Maty Ryan's incredible finger-tip save from Jannik Vestergaard's 30-yard strike. "That one will stay with me for a while," said Ryan after the match.
12. Brighton 0-0 Newcastle
"Not a match to bring the crowds back," was how Steve Bruce described this dour affair but nobody at Albion really cared. A 14th draw of the season against the Geordies was enough to confirm Brighton's top flight status for a fourth consecutive season.
